Oversized Double Pleat Trousers by Kardo.

Relaxed double-pleat trousers made from 100% handloom cotton.

The fabric is woven by hand using an extra-weft technique. As the cloth is made, additional denser threads are introduced across the warp to form the motifs directly on the loom. Each part of the design is built pick by pick by hand, requiring a high level of precision, patience and control from the weaver.

It is a slow process, and the pattern is part of the structure of the cloth rather than something printed or embroidered onto it afterwards. This gives the fabric its distinctive depth, texture and individual character.
